Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to read and use Safe Roads AZ, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Our goal

Safe Roads AZ aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is an ongoing effort: we build with semantic HTML, keyboard-operable controls, visible focus indicators, text alternatives for images, and labelled form fields, and we fix issues as we find them. We have not been certified or independently audited, and we do not claim full conformance.

Accessibility tools on this site

Every page has an accessibility button in the bottom-right corner. It opens a panel with controls to:

  • Increase or decrease text size
  • Turn on high contrast mode
  • Turn on grayscale mode
  • Highlight links
  • Switch to a readable system font
  • Stop animations and transitions
  • Reset everything back to the default

Your choices stay applied as you move between pages for the rest of your browsing session. The site also respects your operating system's reduced-motion setting automatically.
